Vol. 9 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DISCHARGED SOLDIER'S PAY.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that Patrick Walshe, of Allen-wood, Robertstown, Co. Kildare, who served in the National Forces at Naas, from the 10th to the 31st July, 1922, when he was discharged medically unfit owing to having his ankle broken whilst on duty, has not received Army pay for the period mentioned; and whether as several applications for payment have been made without result he will expedite payment.

I regret that there is no record of Mr. Walshe having served in the National Forces or of his having applied for army pay. If the Deputy will furnish me with particulars of the case, the matter will be investigated.

The same name appears on the next question, and possibly there has been some mistake.
