Vol. 9 No. 12

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. [ORAL ANSWERS.] - INJURY BY A BULLET.

DOMHNALL O MUIRGHEASA

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state why a claim made by Miss Mamie O'Brien, Town Wall, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, for compensation in respect of an injury caused by a bullet wound received on December 9th, 1922, was rejected, in view of the fact that as a result of the injury she had to spend five months in hospital and undergo two operations.

The person named by the Deputy was wounded while attempting to convey to the Irregular forces information concerning the movements of a patrol of National troops. The application for compensation was, therefore, rejected.
