Vol. 9 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - REDUCTION OF OLD AGE PENSION.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state on what grounds the old age pension of Mr. Patrick Murphy, 5 Francis Street, Droichead Nua, Co. Kildare, has been reduced to 3/- per week; further, whether he is aware that Mr. Murphy is paying £13 per year rent out of his British Army pension of £31 10s., leaving him a net income of £18 10s., and if he will state whether he is entitled to a higher pension.

There has been no appeal to me, so far, in connection with this case. The question is, therefore, one which the Deputy may wish to take up with the Revenue Commissioners.
