Vol. 9 No. 27

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - POST OFFICE PROMOTIONS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether in making promotions to the rank of Overseer in the Dublin Postal District, full consideration is given to qualifications for the post, and whether it is proposed to appoint a very junior officer, who is not qualified in all the duties of his class, over more experienced and highly qualified officers.

The answer to the first portion of the Deputy's question is in the affirmative. No proposals regarding vacancies in the Dublin Postal District have yet reached me.
