Vol. 10 No. 8

ORDER OF BUSINESS.

I undertook to allow Deputy Connor Hogan a half an hour of Government time to-day. I propose to give him that facility at 7.30 this evening, if we have not concluded the business by then.

And the Dáil will then take Deputy Johnson's question at 8 o'clock?

Yes. I would like to inform the Dáil that I am not in a position to proceed with the first item on the Orders of the Day—Dáil Supreme Court (Pensions) Bill, 1925 (Committee). I could proceed with item No. 2—Supplementary and Additional Estimates.

Could the President name a day when we would be likely to go on with item No. 1?

I should say not earlier than Tuesday of next week.

Would it not be better to facilitate discussion on the matter, in view of the effect on the public mind of the discussion on the Bill and the amendments proposed by Deputies on the Government benches?

I think the public mind will not be in any way disturbed by reason of the delay that will take place.

Order discharged. Committee Stage to be taken on Tuesday, March 10th.
