Vol. 10 No. 11

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DOWNINGS ESTATE (KILDARE).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission has acquired the Downings Estate (Representatives of Charles Bury), Prosperous, Co. Kildare, for distribution amongst the congests and landless men of the district, and, if so, whether he can state when the lands will be divided.

The Land Commission published on the 6th January last a provisional list of lands, comprising 624 acres 2 roods 14 perches, of the townland of Downings North, County Kildare, on the estate of the Trustees of Charles Bury, which will, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, become vested in the Land Commission on the appointed day. The proceedings in this matter have not yet been completed.
