Vol. 10 No. 18

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - NEW ROSS MERCHANTS' APPLICATION.

asked the Minister for Defence if his Department has received repeated applications from Messrs. M. Hutchinson and Son, 4 and 5 North Street, New Ross, for payment of a sum of £914 7s. 4d., due to them, and whether, seeing that this account has been left unpaid since 1923, he will order payment at once.

Several applications for payment were received from Messrs. Hutchinson and Son during the investigation of their accounts. £750 was claimed for repairs to New Ross Barracks, and a cheque for £719 has now been issued in settlement. In addition, £164 7s. 4d. is claimed by Messrs. Hutchinson and Son as being due to them. This sum appears to cover items for which payment has already been made.

Will the Minister say when the cheque was issued?

Yesterday.
