Vol. 10 No. 18

WRITTEN ANSWER. - RETURN OF ARMS (ATHLONE).

asked the Minister for Defence if a valuable double-barrelled gun with two sets of interchangeable barrels, collected by the National Army some time ago, the property of Mr. Walter H. Milligan, Athlone, has yet been traced; if he is aware that Mr. Milligan has made many applications for the return of the gun, and, if it cannot be traced, whether the value of same will be paid to the owner.

I am aware that Mr. Milligan has applied for the return of a gun received from him by the military. It cannot be traced at the moment, but efforts to locate it are being made. If they are not successful, the question of compensation will be considered.
