Vol. 10 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - A MILITARY FINE.

SEAN O LAIDHIN

asked the Minister for Defence whether he is aware that Patrick Logan, Carricknaughton, Athlone, was on the 31st day of March, 1923, fined the sum of £50 by a Military Court held in Athlone; that Mr. Logan was then in custody, and was released on the 25th June, 1923, on payment of the fine mentioned; that Mr. Dennis Hannon, solicitor, Athlone, who is now acting for Mr. Logan, has applied to Custume Barracks for the record of the Court dealing with his client's case in 1923, and has been informed that the records of the Court cannot be issued, and whether as Mr. Logan is now summoned to appear before the Civil Court in connection with the same land dispute for which he has already been fined £50, he will now give instructions that the records of the Courts concerning this case be issued to the solicitor who is acting for the defendant.

It has not been possible in the time since the receipt of the Deputy's question to consider it fully. I will, however, communicate with him in a day or two.
