Vol. 11 No. 6

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - SLIGO ARMY ACCOUNT.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he has received an account of £143 3s. 10d. from Messrs. H. Lyons & Co., Sligo, for goods supplied to the Army in 1922 and 1923, and if he can state when this account will be settled.

Details of the account of Messrs. Lyons & Co., which is furnished as £152 13s. 4d., were not received in the Department of Defence until the 7th ultimo. As the account was not rendered through the Military Authorities, and, consequently, the receipt of the goods was not certified by them, it will be necessary to make local investigations in the matter. This will be undertaken at the earliest possible moment.
