Vol. 11 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - OLD AGE PENSIONS.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state why an old age pension of 7s. per week payable to Denis Larkin, Clonroche, Enniscorthy, was reduced to 3s. per week.

The pension in question was reduced to 3s. a week by the pension officer on review under Section 4 of the Old Age Pensions Act, 1924. The pensioner appealed against this ruling, but the decision of the officer was upheld by the Department of Local Government and Public Health.
