Vol. 11 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DUNMANWAY HOSPITAL ACCOMMODATION.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether any steps have been taken, or will be taken in the immediate future, by his Department to secure proper hospital accommodation for the sick poor of the Rural District of Dunmanway, Co. Cork, in view of the fact that the workhouse buildings, now used as an hospital, have been considered by an Inspector of the Department as entirely unsuitable from a sanitary point of view.

The question of providing suitable hospital accommodation for the sick poor in Dunmanway is one for the Commissioner in the first instance. I understand it is receiving his careful consideration.
