Vol. 11 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE (KILCORMAC).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he has received repeated applications during the past three months from Daniel Doolin, Kilcormac, Offaly, for unemployment insurance benefit; if he can state the reason for non-payment of same or state when it will be possible to authorise payment of the amount due in this case.

Daniel Doolin, of Kilcormac, Offaly, claimed unemployment benefit at Birr in September and October, 1924, and received unemployment benefit between the two claims for 55 days, thus exhausting his credit in the Unemployment Fund. He claimed benefit again in February and March, 1925, at Tullamore. Some confusion, as well as some difficulty in identifying the claimant occurred by reason of his changing from one local office to another, but it will be possible to pay him any benefit to which he may be entitled up to date on next Friday.
