Vol. 11 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CIVIL SERVICE (COMPENSATION) COMMITTEE.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that a number of civil servants who have made applications to retire under Article X of the Treaty have not yet been notified as to when they will be definitely released, although the dates on which they desired to retire have passed, and if he will state when the Civil Service (Compensation) Committee will resume its sittings to deal with the large number of applications awaiting consideration.

The reconstitution of the Committee, which ceased to operate on the resignation of Mr. Justice Wylie last July, is now under consideration, and sittings will be resumed as soon as the personnel of the Committee is complete.
