Vol. 11 No. 22

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. CLARE WOOD-RENTON AWARD.

asked the Minister for Finance if he can state whether an award has yet been made by the Wood-Renton Commission to Mr. Peter MacArthur, Lough Gravey, Feakle, Co. Clare, in respect of the destruction of his dwelling-house and effects in April, 1921, by British Forces, and if payment of the claim can be expedited.

The award referred to by the Deputy has been received in my Department within the last few days. It will be included in a Schedule of Awards which it is hoped to publish in Iris Oifigiúil next week. After publication payment will be made without avoidable delay on the completion of certain necessary preliminary enquiries.
