Vol. 12 No. 10

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. (ORAL ANSWERS.) - SATISFACTION OF BIRR DECREE.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that Mr. John Nallen obtained a decree for £30 at Birr Sessions in March, 1924, for goods taken by Irregulars, and a further decree for £80; that he has not received payment of any of the money yet; further, if he will state when it is expected to pay this man, and what is the cause of delay.

No decree in favour of John Nallen has been lodged in my Department. A report has been received recommending payment to him of £78 in respect of goods supplied to Irregulars, but as I am satisfied that the goods in question were not taken without his consent, I do not propose to make any payment.
