Vol. 12 No. 20

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - DRIMOLEAGUE PRE-TRUCE CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Finance whether claims have been received by the Committee set up under the Indemnity Act, 1924, from Mr. T.J. Daly, Drimoleague, Co. Cork, in respect of goods supplied to Irish Volunteers in pre-Truce days, and whether he can state when the consideration of the claims will be completed.

The claim referred to by the Deputy has been received in my Department, and has been referred in the usual way to the Committee appointed under the Indemnity Act, but, having regard to the very large number of claims with which the Committee have to deal, it is not possible to say when this particular claim will be considered, but there will be no avoidable delay in dealing with it.
