Vol. 13 No. 5

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - BANTRY FISHING FACILITIES.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether he is aware that fishermen in Bantry complain that their work is seriously hampered by lack of curing facilities; that from time to time quantities of mackerel and herrings have been dumped for want of such facilities, and if he will have enquiries instituted with a view to ascertaining the feasibility of establishing a local curing station.

I am having inquiries made with a view to the establishment of a herring curing centre in Bantry.
