Vol. 13 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT CLAIM (WEXFORD).

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state why unemployment benefit is not being paid to Patrick Murphy, 4 High Street, Wexford.

Patrick Murphy lodged a claim to Unemployment Insurance Benefit on the 15th October last. An examination of Mr. Murphy's account showed that he had no unexhausted contributions to his credit and therefore benefit could not be authorised on his claim of the 15th October.

Could the Minister say why he was permitted to sign on at the Wexford Labour Exchange for three months after last March?

I could not, indeed.
