Vol. 13 No. 8

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LEAGUE OF NATIONS—REPORTS OF PROCEEDINGS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for External Affairs whether he can arrange for a full set of reports of the proceedings of the Assemblies of the League of Nations and other League documents to be placed in the Reading Room for the use of members of the Oireachtas.

A full set of duplicates of the records of the proceedings of the Fourth and Fifth Assemblies of the League of Nations are available for the Reading Room and also copies of the following League publications:—

(1) Treaty Series—Volume XIV, to Volume XXXV.

(2) The Monthly Official Journal of the League of Nations for the years 1924 and 1925.

(3) Quarterly Bulletin of Information on the work of International Organisations.

(4) Bulletin of the International University Information Office.

The missing numbers of publications will be added as soon as obtained. The printed report of the Sixth Assembly will be transmitted when received.

There is some difficulty in obtaining duplicates of such elaborate reports as those of the Opium Conference, but all League publications not available for transmission to the Reading Room will be at the disposal of the members of the Oireachtas on application to the Library of my Department.

It is hoped that duplicates of the publications of the International Labour Bureau will be available at an early date.

The Librarian of my Department will supply fuller information to the Deputy at any time.

It will take some time to provide the Reading Room with documents of the League published prior to the Fourth Assembly, 1923.
