Vol. 13 No. 12

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - EX-SERVICE MEN AND ARDFERT LANDS.

SEAMUS O CRUADHLAOICH

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state what consideration has been given to the claims made by ex-members of the National Army for portion of the Crosbie lands, Ardfert, which is now the property of the Land Commission and about to be distributed.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission have taken steps under Section 24 of the Land Act, 1923, for the acquisition of lands in the townlands of Ardfert, Farranwilliam and Gorttasfiddale, on the estate of Mrs. Anne Talbot Crosbie, but they have not yet got possession of the lands. In the distribution of the lands, when acquired, due consideration will be given to the applications of the persons mentioned in Section 31 of the Land Act, 1923.
