Vol. 14 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CIVIL SERVICE CERTIFICATES (C.T.O. LEARNERS).

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that male and female learners in the Central Telegraph Office, Dublin, are awaiting the issue of Civil Service Certificates in their favour; that the increments of those officers are held up pending the issue of the certificates, and if he will take steps to ensure that the certificates are issued at an early date.

The certification of the officers referred to was delayed in consequence of the pressure on the staff of the Civil Service Commission of arrears of work of issuing certificates. These arrears are now being overtaken, and no further delay will be necessary in certifying the male and female learners.
