Vol. 14 No. 6

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - PAYMENT OF A CLONES COMPENSATION AWARD.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he is aware that Mr. John Joseph Fox, Clonkirk, Clones, Co. Monaghan, obtained a decree in 1921 on a compensation claim for the burning of his house in Roslea, Co. Fermanagh; that two-thirds of the decree was levied in Fermanagh, and one-third in Monaghan, and that the Monaghan amount is still unpaid, and whether he will have the matter investigated and payment expedited.

The case of Mr. John Joseph Fox, referred to by the Deputy, together with others of a similar nature, is at present under consideration in my Department. The general question involved will be decided without avoidable delay, and individual cases concerned will then be disposed of.
