CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - LAND PURCHASE IN COUNTY TIPPERARY.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state (1) the number of acres of untenanted land in County Tipperary vested in the Land Commission under the Land Act, 1923; (2) the names of the owners of those lands prior to vesting and their location; (3) the number of acres of lands in regard to which agreements to purchase have been made, giving the names of the owners and the location of those lands; (4) the number of acres of lands in regard to which negotiations have been entered into with a view to purchase, giving the names of the owners and the location of the lands; and if he will state why several letters addressed by me to the Secretary to the Land Commission asking to be supplied with the above information have not been answered, and if there is any reason why such information should be withheld from a Deputy for the county.

Mr. HOGAN

A letter from the Deputy asking to be supplied with the information which is the subject of this question was received in the Land Commission on the 6th instant. The information is being compiled in the department, and will be forwarded to the Deputy in the course of a day or two.
