Vol. 14 No. 18

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - GALWAY RELIEF GRANT APPLICATION.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether a petition signed by the residents in the villages of Sylane and Woodquay, Tuam, Co. Galway, has been received by the Land Commission requesting that portion of the relief grant be allocated to the repairing of the road leading to and connecting these villages with Tuam, and, if so, what action has been taken, or is intended to be taken, as a result of the receipt of this petition.

Mr. HOGAN

The petition referred to was forwarded to the Land Commission by the Secretary of the Galway County Council on the 16th February last, but at that time the grant to the Land Commission for special works had been already allocated and there were no further funds available for the carrying out of the work in question during the present financial year.
