Vol. 15 No. 12

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - RELIEF OF CONGESTION (CO. MEATH).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the Land Commission proposes acquiring for the relief of congestion the following lands at or near Oldcastle, Co. Meath, viz., the lands of Miss O'Neill, Moylagh; Wm. O'Neill, Milltown; Samuel J. Murdock, Baltrasna; Mrs. M. J. Rotherham, Crossdrum; Wm. S. Harman, Crossdrum and Summerbank; A. Harman, Tubride, and Miss O'Reilly, Baltrasna; and if he will state when all, or any, of those lands will be allotted.

Mr. HOGAN

The Land Commission issued an offer to the owner for the purchase of the lands of Crossdrum, on the estate of Mrs. Rotherham, but the offer was not accepted, and the Commissioners, on 23rd March last, included the land in a list of lands published in Iris Oifigiúil as land which will, if not excluded in consequence of a valid objection, be vested in the Land Commission on the appointed day.

The lands of Crossdrum and Summerbank, occupied by W. S. Harman, Tubride, by A. Harman, and Baltrasna by Miss O'Reilly, are purchased lands, subject to land purchase annuities. The lands of Moylagh and Milltown cannot be identified as the subject of proceedings for sale.
