Vol. 15 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - COOLBAWN (CASTLECOMER) SUB-POSTMASTERSHIP.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he has yet filled the position of sub-postmaster in the Coolbawn, Castlecomer, Post Office, and, if so, if he will state the name of the person appointed, and the number of applications received by him for the said position.

The position of sub-postmaster, Coolbawn, was recently advertised as vacant owing to the resignation of the sub-postmistress through ill-health. There were ten applicants for the position, but two of these subsequently withdrew and the other candidates could not offer central premises for the post office. In the circumstances the sub-postmistress, whose health has improved, has consented to retain the position for the present.
