Vol. 15 No. 14

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - HOUSING (BUILDING FACILITIES) ACT GRANT.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the reasons for the delay in paying £50 on the certificate dated 22nd February, 1926, of his building inspector on account of grant awarded under the Housing (Building Facilities) Act, 1924, to Mr. James Lawler, Kilteaghan, Rathangan, Co. Kildare; further, whether as Mr. Lawler has expended all his available capital, amounting to £300 exclusive of his own labour, on the building of the house, he will expedite payment so as to enable the work to be completed.

The claim in this case was received on the 12th March, and a paying order for £50 as an instalment of the grant was forwarded yesterday. When the house has been completed the balance of the grant will be paid.
