Vol. 15 No. 17

WRITTEN ANSWER. - CLAIM FOR COMMANDEERED GOODS.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received a claim for compensation for goods commandeered from Michael Curran, Square, Dungarvan, Co. Waterford, and, if so, whether he will expedite a settlement of same.

No claim by Michael Curran can be traced, but it may be that the Deputy refers to the claim of Mary A. Curran, Square, Dungarvan, who obtained a Report for £32 for goods commandeered by Irregulars in 1922. This Report was paid on 26th August, 1924, to the Revenue Commissioners in part satisfaction of arrears of Revenue Duties certified against Mrs. Curran, and her Solicitor was notified accordingly on the same date.
