Vol. 16 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. CORK DRAINAGE SCHEMES.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the number of drainage schemes under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1925, received from the Cork County Council, the districts in respect of which such schemes have been formulated, and the amount of preliminary work already undertaken in connection with such schemes.

Two petitions for schemes under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1925, were received by the Commissioners of Public Works from the Cork County Council. One was in respect of small streams in the Skibbereen district, and was sent to the county secretary for amendment on the 5th November, 1925, and has not yet been returned. The second was for the Awbeg River, and the position of this case was fully explained in the reply given to Deputy Hennessy on the 28th April. No change in the position has since taken place.

Mr. MURPHY

No other schemes were received from the Council?

No reply has yet been received.
