Vol. 16 No. 2

WRITTEN ANSWERS. - THE BLAKE ESTATE (CO. GALWAY).

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether the arrangements for the acquisition of the Blake Estate, Kilgevrin, Milltown, Co. Galway have yet been completed, and whether there is any probability of its being divided in the near future.

Mr. HOGAN

Under the Land Act, 1923. Mr. J.D. Blake lodged a rental for holdings in the townlands of Fartamon and Kilgevrin to enable the Land Commission to collect from the tenants compounded arrears of rent and payment in lieu of rent under the Act. A request was issued to him to have the necessary documents (maps, schedules, etc.), lodged to enable the estate, including the untenanted land thereon, to proceed, but owing, apparently to the death of Mr. Blake they have not been lodged. The solicitor in the matter is again being pressed to lodge the documents.
