Vol. 17 No. 9

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - SECONDARY TEACHERS' PENSIONS.

TOMAS MAC EOIN

asked the Minister for Education whether he is now in a position to state the result of his investigation into the question of secondary teachers' pensions.

I am not yet in a position to state what result may follow from the investigations made by my Department into the question of secondary teachers' pensions. Proposals in the matter are, however, at present under consideration by the Department of Finance and my Department.

Can the Minister give any indication as to how long we will have to wait for a decision?

How many years more?

If the Deputy will put down this question again soon after the Recess I might be in a position to give him more definite information.
