CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the amount of money allotted to each county in the Saorstát for unemployment benefit during the year 1926.

Unemployment benefit is not allotted by counties. It is paid at the local office where the applicant for benefit lodges a claim and the areas administered by the local offices are not fixed according to county boundaries. I will circulate with the Official Report particulars showing the amounts paid during 1926 at local offices situated in each of the 26 counties.
