Vol. 18 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - RENEWAL OF MOTOR CAR LICENCES.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state what percentage of the Ford touring cars which were running and paying Road Tax in 1926 in the Saorstát and which are now liable to the £23 Road Tax have had licences renewed for this year.

The information sought by the Deputy is not available in the Department. To procure it it would be necessary to circularise the 31 licensing bodies. As, however some cars go out of use every year and other private cars become hackney vehicles, it is doubtful whether any value would attach to a statement of the nature asked for.
