Vol. 18 No. 19

WRITTEN ANSWER. - THE DE CLIFFORD ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he is aware that Patrick Prendergast, Mossbrook, Claremorris, County Mayo, paid a deposit of £85 to the late Congested Districts Board in respect of lands on the De Clifford Estate, Mossbrook, and that the Irish Land Commission requested the Department of Finance to refund the deposit, and if he will state the cause of delay in discharging the amount due to Mr. Prendergast.

Mr. HOGAN

Patrick Prendergast paid a sum of money to the late Congested Districts Board in respect of lands on the De Clifford Estate and has applied to the Land Commission for a refund. The matter is under consideration, but the Commissioners have not yet applied to the Department of Finance for authority to make a refund.
