Vol. 18 No. 20

WRITTEN ANSWER. - THE KILBARRY ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture whether it is a fact that in the division of the Kilbarry Estate, County Meath, ninety acres were allotted to a man named Brien from Lobinstown, Slane, while only eleven acres were allotted to local applicants, and, if so, whether he will state why ninety acres were allotted to Brien, who lived over eight miles from the Kilbarry Estate.

No land has been allotted to a man named Brien on the Winchester Estate at Kilbarry, County Meath. 244 acres have been allotted for the enlargement of five small holdings and the provision of holdings for four persons residing in the neighbourhood, including two employees of the owner who lost their employment owing to the acquisition of the lands.
