Vol. 19 No. 4

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - KILDARE OLD AGE PENSION CLAIM.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state the reasons for refusing to pay an old age pension of 6/- per week to Annie Moran, Claregate Street, Kildare (No. in Pension Officers' Register, 2509, appeal No. L.E. 368); whether as claimant in appearance looks to be seventy-five years old and is almost blind, he will reconsider the case with a view to the awarding of a pension.

Mr. HOGAN (replying)

An appeal in this case on the ground of unsatisfactory evidence of age was received on the 19th instant against the decision of the Naas South Pension Sub-Committee granting an old age pension of 6/- per week. Further inquiries are being made concerning it, and on their completion a decision on the appeal will be given.
