Vol. 19 No. 12

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - SPEED OF 'BUSES.

asked the Minister for Justice whether it is his intention to introduce legislation to regulate motor traffic in view of the fact that owing to the keen competition amongst omnibus companies, speeding has become a serious danger to the public on the routes traversed by the rival buses in and around the city of Dublin, and that as there is no observance of the running to time table, speeding is also causing much general inconvenience to the public.

The matter referred to by the Deputy will come before the proposed Inter-Departmental Committee on road traffic, and their report must be considered before legislation can be introduced.
