Vol. 20 No. 21

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CORK SPINNING COMPANY.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will communicate with the Directors of the Cork Spinning and Weaving Company with a view to bringing about a conference with the Directors and a representative of the Department to discuss ways and means that may lead to the re-opening of the concern.

My Department has been in constant touch with the situation in regard to this Company for a considerable time and has endeavoured to find purchasers for the concern but up to the present without success. If the deputy is aware of any new factors in the situation I shall be glad to have the matter examined anew, if he will communicate them to me.
