asked the Minister for Fisheries whether it is the intention of the Land Commission to acquire for the purposes of sub-division amongst uneconomic holders the following nonresidential farms on the King-Harman Estate, near Boyle, County Roscommon. viz.: those of William Phibbs, 113 acre, at Keeloges, Boyle; Thomas Harte, 80 acres, at Carrickmore, Boyle; James Martin, 50 acres, at Carrickmore, Boyle; William Allen Smyth, 150 acres, at Ballykeavican, Boyle; John Healy, 50 acres, at Ardcarn, Boyle; Ralph W. Satchell, 100 acres, at Carrickmore, Boyle; William Jones, 80 acres, at Roycrofts Park, Boyle; Robert Boles, 120 acres, at Drum and Ballytrasna, Boyle; Fred Monson, 80 acres, at Grallagh, Boyle; Cecil Vaugh, 80 acres, at Grevisk, Boyle.

The lands referred to come within the exceptions in Section 24 (2) of the Land Act, 1923, being held by the owners subject to Land Purchase Annuities.

In view of the fact that a very large quantity of lands is in the hands of the Land Commission in this county, and that other lands not subject to exceptions under Section 24 (2) are available and being inspected, the Land Commission cannot at present undertake to initiate procedure to acquire further lands subject to exceptions in this county at the present time.
