Vol. 22 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. KERRY CREAMERIES.

asked the Minister for Lands and Agriculture if he will state when it is intended, in view of the policy of his Department in regard to dairying, to undertake the re-organisation of the creameries in County Kerry, as has already been done in the Counties of Limerick and Tipperary; and whether, in view of the results that have been achieved in those counties and of the fact that many of the creameries in Kerry are in a bad way financially, steps will be taken to expedite matters in the manner indicated.

The circumstances of the creamery industry in Co. Kerry are at present engaging the attention of the Department of Agriculture, but I am not yet in a position to state the nature of the action which it may be found feasible to take in the matter. It will be dealt with as expeditiously as possible.
