WRITTEN ANSWERS. - GOVERNORSHIP OF LIMERICK PRISON.

asked the Minister for Justice whether before advertising for applicants for the governorship of Limerick prison an opportunity was given to suitable candidates of many years' experience in the prison service.

The qualification of existing officers in the prison service were considered before it was decided to advertise for applications from Army officers for this post.
