CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. WRITTEN ANSWERS. - FISHING SEASON ON DONEGAL RIVERS.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state on what evidence the change was made in the "open" season of the Rivers Finn and Reelin, County Donegal, and how the Conservators were elected.

(1) The last change in the open season for angling for salmon and trout on the River Finn and its tributaries was made in the manner prescribed by statute after receiving "all such pertinent evidence" as was offered at a public inquiry held at Stranorlar on the 26th October last.

(2) The Conservators at present holding office in the Moville fishery district comprise 8 persons nominated under Section 27, sub-section (1) of the Fisheries Act, 1925, and one Conservator holding office under Section 7 of the same Act.
