Vol. 22 No. 17

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - THE NATIONAL LOAN.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what amount of the National Loan, 1927, has been hypothecated, and to what specific purposes; what amount is now available for immediate use; and to what purposes it has been decided to allocate it.

The entire proceeds of the Second National Loan have been paid into the Central Fund, in accordance with Article 61 of the Constitution, and are now available for all purposes for which issues may be made from the Central Fund in accordance with law. There is no hypothecation to specific purposes in the sense suggested by the Deputy.
