Vol. 23 No. 10

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CO. CAVAN LANDS.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether the Land Commission intend to acquire the lands of Mrs. Conyham (representative of John Lynch) at Virginia, Co. Cavan, on the Headford Estate for distribution amongst uneconomic holders.

In connection with the sale of the estate of Lord Headford direct to the tenants under the Irish Land Act, 1903, a holding in the neighbourhood of Virginia situate in the townland of Rahardrum and Ballaghanea comprising 95a. 0r. 37p. was vested in the then tenant, Teresa Conniham, subject to payment of a Land Purchase Annuity.

If these are the lands referred to in the question, they are not pending for sale under the Land Act, 1923, but inquiries will be made regarding them.
