Vol. 27 No. 4

CEISTEANNA.—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - WORK AS SANDWICHMEN.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will state the reasons for which W. Minahan and Peter Lynch, both of Middle Gardiner Street, Dublin, are prevented by the Metropolitan Gárda from working as sandwichmen, the only work they can obtain; and, in particular, if he will state why Mr. Minihan and Mr. Lynch were ordered to desist from their work on November 1st, 1928.

The Metropolitan Gárdaí do not interfere with sandwichmen provided the latter do not infringe the law. A caution was administered to the two sandwichmen on the 1st November, 1928, because they carried an advertisement board measuring seven feet by four feet in contravention of the regulations under the Dublin Traffic Act, which limit the size of these boards to four feet by three feet.
