CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - ALLEGED EXPULSION OF PUPIL FROM N.S.

asked the Minister for Education if he is aware that a girl named Hannah Mary Donoghue, of Inches, Rathmore, Co. Kerry, who was attending Carrigaline National School, was ordered out of the school about two months ago and told not to come back by the teacher; whether any report has been made by the teacher to the Gárda as to the non-attendance of this girl, and, if so, whether any action has been taken in the matter, and, if not, whether he will make inquiries.

The girl Hannah Mary Donoghue was refused enrolment in Carrigaline National School about two months ago. The Gárda have interviewed the principal teacher of the school and received a statement from her on the matter. No action has yet been taken, pending the result of further inquiries that are being made.
