Vol. 28 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dáil Eireann Loan Subscriptions.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received repeated applications since May, 1926, from John Lambert, Rosslare Harbour, Co. Wexford, for refund of his subscription to Dáil Eireann Loan, and when he intends to authorise this payment.

Three applications for the refund of an amount of £1 stated to have been subscribed by him to the Dáil Eireann Loan have been received from Mr. John Lambert, of Rosslare, but the particulars furnished in the applications are not sufficient to enable me to authorise repayment. Mr. Lambert has not furnished any receipt, and, although he was asked to submit a statement in support of his claim by the person to whom the subscription was paid, he has not done so.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he has received repeated applications from John Nolan, Ballinteskin, New Ross, for refund of his subscription of Dáil Eireann Loan; whether Mr. Nolan has furnished the Department with an official receipt, and when he intends to authorise payment.

Authority to issue a Savings Certificate to John Nolan, of Ballinteskin, New Ross, which will enable him to obtain repayment of an amount of £2 subscribed by him to the Dáil Eireann Loan will be given to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs at an early date.
