Vol. 29 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Thurles Pension Claim.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health whether he will state on what grounds he refuses to grant Mrs. Hammons, of Borrisoleigh, Thurles, Co. Tipperary, the old age pension at the full rate which was awarded to her by the Templemore Pensions Committee, and whether, in view of the Pension Committee's decision, he will favourably consider granting her the full pension.

It was determined on the 13th of December, 1928, that the pensioner was not entitled to a pension at a higher rate than 8/- a week as it was not clear after careful consideration of the facts that her annual means were less than £20 16s.
