Written Answers. - Dáil Eireann Loan.

asked the Minister for Finance if he is aware that Mr. John Shinnick, of Oldcastle, Kildorrery, County Cork, subscribed the sum of £10 to the Dáil Loan; that he has made repeated applications for repayment without result, and if he can now state when a savings certificate will be issued in this case.

There is no record in my Department of a subscription to the Dáil Eireann Loan by John Shinnick, of Oldcastle, Kildorrery, nor has any evidence been furnished that would enable me to authorise repayment of the amount which he is stated to have subscribed.

asked the Minister for Finance if he has received applications for refund of Dáil Eireann Loan, and, if so, when payments may be made in respect of the following:— William Doyle, Andrew Doyle and John J. Gregory, of Auburn Terrace, Wexford, and Patrick J. Gregory, of George Street, Wexford.

I would refer the Deputy to previous replies to similar questions and to the statement I made in the Dáil on the 22nd June last. The claim of any subscriber who has applied in writing for repayment of his subscription will be dealt with in my Department in due course.
